You might’ve had a watered-down version of masala chai at your local cafes, often called a “chai tea latte” or “chai latte”, but these lack the authentic ingredients and are usually full of syrup and refined sweetener instead.
Chowpatty’s Kadak Masala chai is the best chai in the game. We’ve mastered how to make bold masala chai using house special blend of whole spices. We use natural unrefined cane sugar which is a much better alternative to make the most robust chai you’ve had in a long time.
Yes, we do. We sell Masala Chai premix with our house-special whole spices. Just add water, milk and sweetness and your Masala Chai is ready in 5 minutes. Check out our Chai is Dope page.
Masala Chai is authentically made by boiling water with crushed fresh ginger, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and fennel seeds but spices change made on the region. Black pepper and a pinch of carrom seeds can be added for an extra punch. After boiling for couple of minutes, throw in a tablespoon of loose black tea leaves. Boil for another minute and then add whole milk. Boil for another minute or two. Add sugar as per your taste or replace sugar with raw cane sugar for deeper and bold flavor. Strain it with a strainer and voila. We do sell Masala Chai premix at Chowpatty Culture. Just add water and milk during the process. The best Chai in the game. We say our Chai is dope! Order Here.
Kulhad is a traditional clay cup earthenware, made by firing in kiln. The earthen cup tends to soak up a bit of the hot fluids poured into it. So, when you pour hot chai/tea into a Kulhad, a bit of the chai soaks into the clay and the two flavors intermingle to create the earthy flavors that takes our kadak chai to elevated flavor.
It is a zero waste environmentally friendly, biodegradable and also tastes delicious than regular kadak masala chai.
We use premium quality Oatmilk to make vegan oat masala chai. We use the house special spice blend with fresh ginger, cardamom, cinnamon etc to make a super flavorful healthy vegan oat masala chai. We serve it hot and also chilled in glass bottles. It’s a win-win for hot or cold.
At Chowpatty, we do serve mindblasting Dirty Chai who prefer a strong kick of flavor and energy. Unlike masala chai, dirty chai has bold and strong flavors with all the goodness of natural spices and herbs
